I started a Substack. If you don’t know what that is, it’s a blogging site which sends new posts as emails (like a newsletter).

There won’t be anything there that isn’t here. Less, in fact, since 1/ to build new audience there, I’m going to put stories there one at a time, one a week or so, and 2/ I’m only putting the milder stories there, and without pictures (shockingly, I don’t have copyright on almost any of the pictures here - so I can’t put them on substack, which charges money to some people).

So, why would you even bother to go there?

Really, there’s no need at all, unless:

  1. you’d prefer to get stories as emails than have to come to my dodgy website.
  2. you prefer the reading experience there (they spent a lot more money than me).
  3. (and this really isn’t a begging message) you want to send me money. No, honestly, some people want to. There used to be a thing called Kofi, but I stopped using it (don’t send money there - I won’t get it!). Subscription on Substack is free, but there is a paid option.

Actually, I realised there might be a reason to pay me. If you really prefer to get stories by email (I would hate it), but you want some story that I am not going to put on Substack for ages, or at all, I could set up a subscriber tier there, which had the stories you requested. I doubt anyone will want this, but what do I know about you? Nothing. Well, I know you’re reading this, so you’re a human that can read english. Unless you’re an AI…
