THW hates downvotes. But they are important. THW loves readers (needy author) - and wants to know when readers have a bad experience, so as to think about how not to have that happen again.
Best all round is if readers know not to read a story they won’t like, before they read it!
Stories with deeply cruel character are already kept apart in the ‘Cruelties’ section, but some readers will have things they don’t like which won’t be sent there.
There is now a trigger tag - #dog - to warn readers who dislike that stuff.
THW will work on getting tags visible at the top of a story.
