Introduction to 'the Voluntary Commitments'

Editor’s note: Authorship of this document is obscure, unknown, anonymous. It was retrieved, in manuscript form, from a bundle of mildly indecent photographs by a house-clearing agent who was accustomed to sending material of this kind to a specialist auction house.

Experts at the auction house realised that the degree of care and the obsessive attention to detail displayed made it of special interest, and a significant sum was raised through a private ‘sealed bid’ sale for which participation was limited to a selection of serious and affluent clients. Although the sale was private, rumours did circulate. Nevertheless, no detail was known for over twenty years, until, in the early days of the internet - well before the Web - the document linked below was posted into an obscure chat group known as “alt.sex.bdsm.sexual_slavery”.

It is published here without comment, beyond the public knowledge, which is that rumours suggest not a few groups of libertines have adopted the document and have become practised at encouraging young women to start along the road set out ny these Commitments, in the hope that they prove to be a ‘one way street’ to so-called ‘self-enslavement’ or ‘self-brainwashing’.

Over time, we may add to the document such examples of Commitments as are discovered ‘in the wild’, which seem useful to add to the richness of world which the document proposes.
